The first Wedding of 2021 is the enchanting waterfall & glacier ice cave Iceland elopement of R&G from the UK. A 2 day Wedding at Skogafoss Waterfall, followed by the black sand beach, a glacier ice cave exploration and the Northern Lights!

Words cannot describe how overjoyed I am to be sharing this truly magical Elopement in Iceland with you. When the stars align & beautiful souls unite anything is possible. R&G epitomise why love conquers all here. R&G have proven that despite the UK being in the midst of the pandemic, it is possible to elope and achieve everything you’ve ever dreamed of with some very careful, safe and trusted planning.

When I first met R&G we instantly connected and it was evident how important quality time together as a family was for them alongside their young daughter. An adventurous but romantic winter Elopement in a naturally beautiful country in Scandinavia was the dream & so we began piecing it together.

The current covid restrictions did not make things easy, both logistically for myself in the planning stages and also emotionally for us both, but as Robyn & Gary are paramedics we took every precaution & remained strong. We initially planned their whole Wedding in Swedish Lapland with our lovely partners and suppliers till the border closures, Brexit and quarantine challenges meant these plans had to be cancelled. We went back to the start and re-planned their whole Wedding and honeymoon in Iceland before the tier restrictions in the UK meant they were unable to travel.

Arriving in Iceland straight after Christmas and beginning their quarantine period I set to work in ensuring they could achieve the Elopement they had wanted & I couldn’t be happier with the whole process. Working closely with my trusted and exceptionally talented & friendly suppliers, we created an otherworldly Elopement itinerary, exploring the extreme Icelandic wilderness of the south coast.

Robyn & Gary started their Wedding day in a gorgeous Icelandic lodge and enjoyed the morning getting ready separately. After Asthildur worked her magic on hair & make-up, they travelled to Skogafoss Waterfall where their lovely celebrant Kristrun waited for them.

After an emotional and meaningful exchange of vows, the couple and their daughter ventured to the infamous Black Beach to be photographed by the iconic basalt columns, the unique hexagonal rock formations along the coast.

Following some fun on the beach, and a visit to another beautiful waterfall, the family enjoyed a relaxing dinner together and warmed up back at their cosy lodge.

They didn’t have long to rest before the mesmerising lady Aurora borealis appeared for them. Dancing in the sky, Robyn & Gary were spellbound by the Northern Lights as they majestically danced before them.

The following morning, they ventured to Mýrdalsjökull glacier, an ice cap covering the active volcano Katla. In full hiking gear they explored a cave within Kötlujökull glacier, an outlet part of this ice cap, safely with their private guide for some truly incredible photographs. This natural wonder is truly enthralling and the colours of these glacier ice cave formations are captivating.

Robyn & Gary continued their exploration of the South Coast for the remainder of their stay in Iceland, with further waterfall & glacier ice cave visits, walks along the diamond beach and horse riding along the black sand beaches.

We are so thankful to Nataly & Max from Nikolaichik for providing photography & film for this beautiful family and simply cannot wait to share more with you all. I wish Robyn & Gary and their daughter the happiest of lives together.
