The Hotel
Situated on the Lule River, close to the small village of Harads, the Arctic Bath is a stunning new floating spa hotel. Located just a few hours from Lulea airport, the circular ‘floating sauna’ building was designed by Bertil Hagström (who designed Treehotel’s The Bird’s Nest) and Johan Kauppi.
The main building imitates logs getting jammed in the rapids during the time timber was transported on the Lule River. The surrounding nature was a huge influence and is incorporated into the hotels cabins and suites. Using natural & sustainable materials with a Scandinavian design, the property is the perfect retreat under the northern sky.
With a holistic approach to health & wellness, the spa hotel is the perfect escape for couples and their families seeking a tranquil stay in the heart of nature and away from the pressures of modern life. Wedding Day
Weddings at the Arctic Bath are bespoke, unique and memorable. Wake up in the heart of Swedish lapland wilderness and begin your day with a cold or warm sauna before a tantalising breakfast and a treatment in the Spa. Get ready at leisure in your own private land suite or water cabin before your private ceremony on the frozen lake or inside the intimate Tentipi.
Both legal and religious ceremonies can be conducted at the Arctic Bath or you can opt for a symbolic ceremony if you prefer. I can assist you with the legal paperwork required to ensure this process is smooth and easy for you. For further information about this process please get in touch with me.

Your Wedding dinner can be arranged either inside the hotel restaurant, where only local and sustainable produce is used, or inside the cosy Tentipi where you can watch your meal be prepared before you. Spend quality time with your loved ones late into the evening and really enjoy the company of those you are closest to in the heart of the arctic circle.
Activities
After your ceremony wow your guests with a snowmobile excursion or a snowshoeing trip into the wilderness to capture the wildlife in their natural habitat. Visit the local Sami family and feed their wild reindeer who may even pose for some photographs with you! Take part in husky or dog sleighing across the frozen lake and deep into the forest, before warming up with hot chocolate back at the hotel. Whatever you fancy, there is plenty to do at the Arctic Bath and suitable activities for all ages.
For those who prefer a slower pace, I encourage you to simply enjoy the hotel and the peace and tranquility it brings. Sip on a warm drink, cosy up in your complimentary robes and take in the elements in this truly unique and iconic property.
If the weather is suitable sit outside and watch the Aurora dancing overhead, or take part in a northern lights hunt deep into the forest.
