I love working with couples from across the world, but theres something extra special about being close to home too and I was so pleased to be asked to help Sian & Tom last year at their Wedding in Oundle. Living in London, but with family in my own village this was an exciting Wedding to be working on!
Sian & Tom are one of the loveliest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Kind hearted, warm and genuine I knew this was going to be a romantic and emotional Wedding to be involved with and I wasn’t wrong.
Sian prepared for her magical day at her parents home in Peterborough and Tom in Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire. The ceremony took place in the pretty All Saint’s & St James Church in Kings Cliffe with the Church full of their nearest and dearest.
After the Ceremony, the couple travelled the short distance to Castle Farm Guest House in Fotheringhay, Oundle. This pretty Victorian Guest House sits right on the River Nene with stunning lawns perfect for outdoor Wedding receptions in a pretty & historical village.
T&L Marquee Hire provided a traditional marquee with clear roof in the grounds which looked stunning with the ancient trees glistening above. Sian and Tom and their families worked tirelessly in the week running up to their Wedding to personalise the marquee with a natural tree stumps & floral feature & hand created centre pieces and menu cards.
The summer flowers & bouquet were arranged by the family and Earthworks Floristsbased locally in Rutland and perfectly matched the soft and romantic theme of Sian & Tom’s wedding.
The pretty 3 tiered Wedding cake made by Anna Croft was decorated by soft flowers and stood on a rustic wooden cake stand. A caricaturist secretly arranged by the family also captured the guests throughout the day to provide Sian & Tom with the perfect keepsake of their special Day.
Fresh canapés, Pimms, Champagne and a full three course meal was provided by the amazing Beetroot Catering based in Oundle. Guests all commented on how amazing the food was and we have to agree having worked with Keith and his team on a number of occasions over the past years.
The evening saw the couples friends performing in their band and entertaining the guests who were all up dancing!
We wish Sian & Tom a very long and happy marriage together. It was such an honour to work with you both and I just love looking back over the great images by Hume Photography!
